About .amsterdam
The .amsterdam extension is property of the municipality of Amsterdam and therefore property of the people of Amsterdam. In 2014, dotAmsterdam BV, a sister company of Mijndomein BV, was given the concession of exploitation of .amsterdam TLD. From of June 1st 2015, anyone could register a .amsterdam domain name in the priority period.
As of September 1st .amsterdam registration is open without restrictions. First come, first served.
